NATUROPATH & YOGA CONSULTANT

PRESENT ACTIVITIES:

  • Working as a Naturopath and Yoga Consultant in Bangalore and other places in India and abroad
  • Conducting regular Yoga and Naturopathy training and therapy classes at ‘Prajna Yoga and Nature Cure Centre’, a private holistic health centre in Bangalore
  • Actively involved in various academic activities including some ongoing research programs in the field of Naturopathy & Yoga

Place of work: Indira Gandhi Centre for Indian Culture (IGCIC), Quatre Bornes, Mauritius.

Period: June 1996 to June 1999

Nature of work: Was in complete charge of the Yoga centre on a full time basis.

Courses conducted: 3 months Hobby course, 6 months Certificate Course, 1year Diploma course, Meditation course, Advanced Meditation course, Relaxation courses and short term (4-6 weeks) Special vacation courses for children in various batches throughout the year. The Total number of students who got trained were approximately 1,000 every year. 

In–House activities: * Lecture – “Yoga in Modern age” at the IGCIC hall, Quatre Bornes on 19th March ’97.
* Lecture – Demonstration on “Yoga and Women” given at        
 Indian Women’s Association ( IWA ) on 5th July ’98.
* Lecture – Demonstration on “Yoga – A way to good health” with special emphasis on Shatkarmas on 19th  March ’99.
* Lecture with demonstration by Yoga students on the occasion of Annual Convocations on 19th Nov. ’97 and 19th Nov. ’98.

Other activities : * One hour live talk-in show on various aspects of Yoga on (on invitation only )      Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation ( MBC ).
* Article published in French daily newspaper – Defi Plus on ‘Yoga - an alternative solution to diseases’.
* Gave a lecture to a group of about 30 European English  teachers on ‘Jainism’.
* Conducted a one day yoga orientation programme at  Hindi Pracharini Sabha, Moka, Mauritius.         
* Introductory lecture on Yoga for a Mauritius Women’s organisation at Maligam, Mauritius.
